Top 10 toys for Christmas 2011
New Zealand’s largest online toy store has announced their Top 10 toys picks for Christmas. The list is compiled based on recent sales data and from 15 years in the toy industry, says Shane Loomb Managing Director of iQ Toys. “As recently as a month ago we were concerned there would be no runaway hits this year. However, over the last few weeks a number of toys have emerged as clear favourites”

  1. Moshi Monsters - Moshi Monsters are a classic example of a range of toys that have evolved from an online social networking and virtual pet site for children. Launched in 2008 by the British media company Mind Candy, there are now reportedly more than 50 million users worldwide.
Expected to be popular this Christmas are Moshling plush toys, blind bags containing surprise monsters in a foil bag, and Moshi Monsters books. Prices range from $4.99 to $18.49

  2. Addict A Ball - equal parts infuriating and entertaining, the aim of Addict A Ball is simply to get the shiny ball through all stages of the maze to get to the end, by twisting and tilting the transparent spherical casing. But with over 100 stages this task becomes an extreme test of patience, dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Have you got the skills? I can only get to level 29 but my son who has more spare time on his hands has just about managed complete it! Small $13.49, Large $24.99
